Darby Hills's Profile

Darby Hills
26th Senate District

Senator Darby Hills is a long time advocate for children and families and now serves as the State Senator for Illinois’ 26th District. Raised by a hardworking single mother, Darby understands the challenges many families face and brings that perspective to her work in Springfield.

She founded Barrington Children’s Charities, an all-volunteer organization that supports over 500 local children each week with meals, medical care, and social services. Her public service also includes time as a Barrington Hills Village Trustee, where she fought against high taxes and wasteful spending.

A former Cook County prosecutor and attorney, Darby earned her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa. She’s a wife, a mother of three, and a determined voice for lower taxes, responsible government, and opportunity for working families.
